“Who would you be if you became who you really are? What tremendous and unique potential is curled up inside your shell?” – Jed McKenna
Hey 🙂
How’s your week going so far?
I’m sinking back into writing again after a (very) powerful weekend retreat, and have some fresh insight to share.
It came to me on Saturday morning, during a breakfast conversation with a friend when I found myself saying the words…
“…Unlocking the human experience.”
There was a split second pause as the words hung in the air between us before their impact landed fully in my mind.
That’s it, I thought to myself.
That’s what we’re doing here.
Beyond our talk of inner development, spiritual practice, life purpose, modern business, relationships, emotional intelligence, philosophy, psychology, (and the list goes on)…
…That one simple but profound goal sits at the center of our motivations:
Unlocking the human experience.
In a world crazed with money, status, and pleasure, here we sit, wondering if there’s more and praying that there is.
While the masses race to get what they want while avoiding what they don’t want, here we sit, contemplating what’s beyond our impulsive desires.
And while humanity skips across the surface of human possibility, here we sit, exploring the deeper potentials of our brief but precious lifetime.
In short, unlocking the human experience means transcending the limited idea of who you are, and expanding into the full dimensions of what you are.
What goal could be more inspiring than that?
