This is a 58 shot panorama of the Milky Way setting above Lake Dowerin about 2 hours north east of Perth in Western Australia.
 
This lake is one of hundreds of dry salt lakes in the Wheatbelt region of WA many of which hardly see any kind of semi permanent water. This shot was taken at the end of winter and, as you can see, the lake bed is bone dry.
 
Prominent in this image is the Carina Nebula just above the far left of the horizon and on the opposite side, the North America Nebula. The light pollution you see on the left is from the nearby town of Goomalling, a little over 20km away.
