Erwin Jenni My friend the tree…

Dedication: To the 1.5 million Jewish children who perished during the time of National Socialism 1933 – 1945. An eternal reminder of the darkest hour in human history. Tears flow down my cheek. For me, the tree is a strong symbol that life is stronger than death, than destruction! On January 27, 1945, Auschwitz was liberated by Russian soldiers. We must never forget what Auschwitz stood for. Remembrance. (Int. Holocaust Remembrance Day)

I’ve gotten a bit tired of social media in general and also of flickr. Please forgive me that I have not visited you regularly. Give me some time and air to breathe. I need this so much and especially a lot of time for the wonderful nature that I love so much and for my precious family too. Thank you for your friendship and understanding.

Even in the frosty cold winter season, this tree radiates warmth and comfort to me. And it was bitterly cold on that day, so that after a while I could no longer feel my fingers, but this evening mood would not let me go.

This time I really didn’t make it easy for myself when choosing the next picture on my photo stream. I had 3 pictures that I favorited and just couldn’t decide which one to choose. I hope that I made the right choice and if not, I will submit one or the other picture in one of my next posts. OK.?

About the picture: I would like to let it speak for itself and look forward to your opinion on this nature photography from Switzerland. Only this much can be revealed: It is a piece of home for me, because the picture was actually taken pretty much right in front of my house where I live – about 5 minutes away – and it means a lot to me. My wife and I have been visiting this place for a while and are always fascinated by how different it looks depending on the weather conditions. The tree of life is by far the most beautiful in the evening hours. I’m glad if you like it my dear friends and it won’t be the last time that you’ll see it here.

For my part, I can only say that such calm and peaceful moods touch my heart & soul to the core.

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

Nature is not only all that is visible to the eye… it also includes the inner pictures of the soul.
