images@twiston Zig zag moods – A long exposure at sunset of ‘The blocks’, the iconic zig zag breakwater on the outer sea wall at St Monans.

The rough conditions with the waves crashing over the breakwater take on a somewhat luminous moody appearance from the long exposure, whilst the approaching sunset allows some colour to develop in the sky.

Bass Rock is just visible on the distant horizon catching the last rays of sunlight though a gap in the clouds.
