No, I do not agree with you.

China is nothing like Singapore. Their circumstances dictated completely different directions for their countries.

And why would China need to make English its first language to become democratic??? Is English a first language in France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Spain, etc.?

It is extremely unlikely that China will adopt Western-style democracy again. It is a failing experiment in Chinese eyes…

  • China tried it in 1912. It did not turn out well.
  • Russia tried it after the fall of the Soviet Union. It did not turn out well.
  • India tried it in 1947 when it became independent. It did not turn out well. Indian politics is chaotic.
  • Taiwan tried it in the early 1990s. It did not turn out well. Taiwan’s economy has suffered chronic wage stagnation ever since.
  • US democracy has revealed major weaknesses in recent decades culminating in the Capitol Hill riots.
  • Brazil, Hungary, Turkey, Venezuela, etc. have become illiberal democracies.
  • Every time USA tried to install a democracy (e.g., Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.), it became a clusterfuck.

Western-style democracy has a miserable track record. There is absolutely no conceivable reason for China to give it another try. The risk is too great and the potential gain is nonexistent.
