Well what do you know! Another new image, all far too much excitement at once, certainly not used to this… Myself and Mike Muddyboots decided to head up to the Lakes for the day, the weather hadn’t looked great but at least there was some rain so there fore there would be clouds and not boring old plain blue skies like we have sadly had so much of of late, the idea was to look for breaks in the weather, scope a few places out, and I could also fly my drone at a couple of locations if the weather allowed. After the unique expereince of sitting outside a pub in Boot eating steak pie, Chips, and Veg in the rain with no shelter we headed over to Hardknott Fort and Wasdale. I’d been meaning to shoot this little boathouse for a while, and whilst the weather didn’t look the best I just wanted to go and have a look for a return visit so we took the walk in, upon arrival the colours that were there were extremely vivid Spring Greens, absolutely superb, I’ve actually had to reduce the yellows a little from what was captured to stop them appearing illuminous! The rain had stopped but the water was far from still, every now and again it would get close but then just ripple up again, I set up and flew the drone for a while while somebody ‘rested’ off their Steak Pie on the riverbank, I just waited it out, I think we were here about an hour to an hour and a half and eventually got a nice still shot with light falling onto the vibrant foliage to the rear, along with a cloud laden sky, the underwater plants here are really interesting as well so I wanted to bring them into the shot. A great day out and an image I’m pleased with as something different. —————————————————————————————- You can visit my website here —————————————————————————————– Post navigation Dutch morning glory Delicious broccoli
